My Dad was born Feb 6 ,1938 in vian okla to Henry S and Jimmie Robirds Mashburn after three days it flooded they loaded him and him mom in a boat to higher ground he was very sick the first six months of his life but he made in 1955 he met and married the love of his life Roxie I Jay on September 24 1955 in Tahlequah ,OK They had three childrren to this reunion
My Daddy was a farmer he loves John Deere Tractor and H Farmall he loved to raised hogs and watermelons
Later on his life he worked for numerous jobs like the one in Porter when he worked for Bills Coal Co I became the Coal Miners Daughter LOL
He departed this old life for a brand new one Jan 13,2018 at the age of 79 years 11 months and 24 days
as i held his hand has he took his last breathe on earth oh how the angels are rejoicing
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry S and Jimmie Mashburn, his beloved wife of more then 52 years Roxie I Mashburn

James Louis Mashburn, of Porter, Ok passed from this life Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home.
He was born February 6, 1938 in Vian, Ok to Henry S. Mashburn and Jimmie (Robirds) Mashburn.
He was 79 years, 11 months and 24 days of age.
James attended school in Vian, Ok. He has lived around the Porter area most of his life.
He worked for many farmers in the Choska Bottom driving JOHN DEERE TRACTORs and combine and various other machinery, but most recently worked for Bill’s Coal Company.
He also cut woods for a living and also to keep his family warm during the winter when spring time came he planted acre and acre of watermelons to sell and to make sure my mom Roxie had one everyday to eat she always wanted the biggest one lol
James is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jimmie Robirds Mashburn, his wife of 52 yrs Roxie Irene (Jay) Mashburn, brothers George, H.N., Jerry and Ed, and sisters Alma Lou and Patricia. He is survived by sons Rickey Mashburn and Henry Mashburn of Porter, Ok, daughter LaDana Stacy and husband Clint also of Porter, sisters Walcie Main of Springdale, AR and Ludean Prim of Lowell, AR, grandchildren Trina, Dustin and Monica, Zackeriah and Jessica, Ashley and Hugo, Emily and Sabach, great-grandchildren Ashton, Joseph, Zariah, Remington, Carlos and Adaleen as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church in Haskell with Rev. Bobby Main officiating. Interment will follow in the Haskell Cemetery under the direction of Dowdy Funeral Home.
