Lena Mae Thorpe Wilson, 99 of Warrenton, VA passed away on December 10, 2017 at UVA Culpeper Hospital.
She was born on November 7, 1918 in Fauquier County, VA a daughter of the late Edward Grant Thorpe and Bertie Mae Creel Thorpe, and was the last of a family of 16 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Peyton Wilson and a daughter, Verna Mae Miller.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and member of Warrenton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, J. Douglas Wilson, Warrenton; two daughters, Charlotte Marie Reynolds, Florida and Merle Elaine King, Manchester, MD; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton on Thursday, Dec. 14 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM. Rev. Douglas L. Harris and Rev. Jay Lawson will officiate. Interment will follow at Orlean Cemetery.
