Bernard K. Mullen of South Bend, son of Winfred and Ethel Mullen, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017. "Bun" was born Oct. 28, 1953, and married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Olney in October of 1972, months after their graduation from South Bend High School. The two were married for 45 years and had two children, Keith, (who passed away in 2011) born in 1974, and Kimberly, who lives in Maine with her husband, Steve, born in 1979.
Bernard served almost 23 years in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Sr. Master Sargent. He held several jobs afterward in warehouse work. Bernard loved to spend time with his grandchildren, Milo and Jessica.
