Daughter of the late Eva Mae and J. B. Baker; sister of the late William Baker and Minnie L. Baker Barber; wife of the late Luther Johnson, to whom she was married on December 31, 1961. Reverend Dolly moved to Passaic, New Jersey in the 1940’s. She was one of the lead singers for the Grace Gospel Singers, and in January 1959, their melodic style lead them to appear for one week at the world-famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. Pastor Dolly entered the ministry in 1974. She was graduated from the Manhattan Bible Institute in New York City, and received her Bachelor of Theology Degree from the American Bible College in Chicago. Reverend Dolly is also a graduate of Sawyer Business School, Dale Carnegie Institute for Public and Human Relations and the Creative Living Counseling Center of Mental Health Associates, Inc. She also received a certificate for Pastoral Care Specialist in Allendale, NJ. In 1984 Reverend Dolly founded and pastored the Passaic Christian Fellowship Baptist Church and the Overseer for the Passaic Christian Fellowship/ Newburgh Bible Institute.
