Margaret Rachael Blevins Burcham, 76, of North Wilkesboro, formerly of Whitetop, Va., died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Burcham was born June 26, 1941, in Whitetop, Va., to James Dewey and Mary Elizabeth Blevins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Burcham; her brothers, Alvin, Ray and James Blevins; and her sisters, Stella Blevins, Della Riffey, Lessie Davis, Zola Trivett, Ruby Blevins, Mary Blevins and Martha Blevins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at Middle Fork Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dennis Blevins and the Rev. Elwood Taylor. Burial followed in the Walls cemetery.
The family received friends from 1:30 to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
Mrs. Burcham is survived by three sons, Terry Dixon, Rickey Earl Dixon (Marcia) and Michael Eugene Dixon (Sue), all of North Wilkesboro; her daughters, Donna Faw (Thomas), Melissa Church (Randy) all of Purlear, Lisa Woodie (Perry) of McGrady, Susan Carpenter of Roaring River, Danaka Waller (Caleb) of Hillsville; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Edwards of Whitetop; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
