Katherine Williams-Robertson
April 11, 1949 - January 10, 2018

Katherine Andrade Robertson entered this world on April 11, 1949, at Visalia Municipal Hospital, born to Frank and Mary Andrade. Spending her early years in Visalia and Tulare she quickly developed a wide-eyed love of animals and in a perfect world she would have grown up to be a dirt-poor veterinarian with a horde of strays and rescued animals who adored her whom she would love unreservedly in return without a thought to the cost. She had a host of stories of her excitement when Doc White, the vet, would show up at the ranch on which she lived, or the chores with the animals which she had, or the time when she dragged home a box of abandoned puppies. Unfortunately, Katherine was not born into a perfect world where she could pursue her natural talents in the animal world, so, after her time at Redwood High School and Tulare Union High School, she became an office worker, culminating her professional career as an Administrative Assistant for the city of Mountain View.
Katherine had a very strong sense of family and chose to take early retirement so she could return to Visalia from the Bay area to be near her daughter, Chantelle; enjoy her grandchildren, Jessica, Cecily, and Jacob, and now two great grandchildren; and, surprisingly, meet and marry her loving husband of 18 years, TF. All of whom survive her, along with her older brother, Steve, and a herd of cats she had adopted over the years. All miss her exceedingly. She was a woman born out of time for she had very strong convictions of right and wrong, responsibility, self-reliance, truth, loyalty, of doing one's best in all things, and of never putting off til tomorrow what should be done today. She was a very active woman and took pride in her house and home and chaffed under the restrictions her advancing illness bound upon her and lessened her ability to do those things which she believed needed to be done. She took pride in her accomplishments, which were many, yet she shunned the spotlight and never sought the glory. She was always willing to help and never asked anything in return except for the appreciation that she had been of help.
Katherine wished to die at home and her wish was granted in the early hours of January 10, at which time she peacefully departed this life, with her husband by her side. Katherine fiercely believed there is a God and unto Him we commend her spirit. The world is diminished with her passing.
