James Morris Critchfield, Sr.
03/15/1922 - 01/10/2018 James Morris Critchfield Sr, 95 of Danville, KY, died January 10th 2018. “Critchie”, as he was called by his friends was the son of the late James Polk and Cassie Jane Robertson Critchfield, and the husband of the late Georgia Mae Rice Critchfield. He served as a Marine in World War II and received a Purple Heart for valor. He served as Assistant Chief of Police and retired from the City of Danville Police Department. He is survived by two sons, James M. Critchfield Jr (Nancy) and William S. Critchfield (Pat) and one daughter Debra T. Langford (Larry). He was preceded in death by a son Stephen K. Critchfield and a daughter Judith A. Compton. He was also preceded in death by a brother Amos Critchfield and two sisters Evelyn Brewsaugh and Minnie Stratton. He loved spending time with his 26 grand, great, and great-great grandchildren. He was a member of the Danville First Church of God. He will be greatly missed by his family.

The funeral service will be at 12pm, Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Danville First Church of God. Rev. Kevin Cummins will officiate. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation w
