" Died in Andover, Thursday, March 18, [1913], Mrs. Ann Matilda Marston, widow of Abel O. Marston, aged 74, years, 9 mos. Mrs. Marston was the daughter of John and Arvilla (Ames) West and had lived in Andover since her marriage. Deceased was of a mild, sunny disposition, ever ready to assist with sympathy and loving care when ever needed, participating in her own large family where she will be much missed as well as by her friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Universalist Church. She is survived by seven children; Leander Marston with whom she has made her home, Mrs. Frank [Nellie] Gordon, Mrs. B.L. [Beckie] Akers, Mrs. Frank Knox, Mrs. Nora Merrill, all of Andover, Mrs. E.A. Hall of Monmouth and Walter Marston of Canton."

Ann and her husband, Abel, had 11 children. (Abel had a daughter, Hannah, from his previous marriage to Betsy Thayer Arnold.) Ann and Abel's children were: Leander, John, Celinda, Francena, Nora, Arville, Walter, Emma, Laura, Martha, and Ellen/Nellie.
