Mr. S.I. Calkins, an aged and highly esteemed citizen of this city, died from the effects of an attack of LaGrippe last Monday morning. Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon by the Pastor, Rev. Gragg. The deceased was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and the post at this place attended the funeral services in a body and paid a tribute to the memory of their deceased comrade.
