He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was also a member of the Little Rock Operators Union.
Survivors: wife, Dorothy King Thompson; three sons, L.F. Thompson of Little Rock, T.W. Thompson of North Little Rock and D.L. Thompson with the Navy in the state of Washington; four daughters, Mrs. Martha Hemphill, Mrs. Evelyn Hemphill, Mrs. Margaret Miller and Miss Mary Thompson all of Little Rock; four brothers, Herbert Thompson, Harvey Thompson, Clarence Thompson and Victor Thompson; four sisters, Mrs. Ola Farnham, Mrs. Mary Taylor, Mrs. Callie Griffith and Mrs. Lila Faye Gailey; and fourteen grandchildren.
