Karen S. Norton, 59, of Findlay, died on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:30am at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born on September 23, 1958 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Maurice Edward and Rebecca Jane (Harris) Risser II. She married Douglas A. Norton on November 29, 1975 and he survives. Also surviving are children: Angie Lynn (Floyd) Bryant of Findlay, Douglas Alan (Lindsey Grasmick, fiancée) Norton II of Findlay, and Maynard Theron (Holly Irvin, fiancée) Norton of Findlay; grandchildren: Tom Phoenix, Eugene Phoenix, Douglas A. Norton III, Jenna Norton, Bryson Norton, Shelby Norton, Coby Norton, and Wesley Norton; one great grandchild; siblings: twin sister, Sharon Johnson of Cincinnati and Findlay, Maurice (Deb) Risser III of Findlay, Diane (John) Woodruff of Findlay and Michael Risser of Findlay; mother-in-law: Alberta Peterson Norton of Findlay; aunt: Anita Aungst of Kingwood, Texas; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son: Nicholas Norton; sister: Elizabeth Sherman; aunt: Beverly Risser; father-in-law: Maynard T. Norton; brother-in-law: Frank Johnson. Karen had worked at Findlay Industries for many years and most recently worked in quality control for TH Plastics and was a member of the American Quality Society. She enjoyed sewing, painting, cooking, collecting collectables, camping, Ohio State football and being with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Monday, January 15, 2018 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay, where funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Pastor Jessica Myers will officiate and interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay. Memorials may be given to Bridge Hospice and online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com.
