Mrs. Bobbie Maurine Sims Hadley, 87, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Mobile, Alabama.

Mrs. Hadley was born (10/05/1930) in Potts Camp, MS as the only child out of nine siblings born outside of Alabama. She was raised in Huxford, AL. After she finished high school, she moved to Miami, FL where she began her vocation at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in the dietary department. She later moved back to Alabama and was employed at Greenlawn Hospital in Atmore, AL, as the manager of the Food Service Department. She became a member of Hospital Institution Educational Food Services (HIEFS). She worked for many years in Hospitals and Nursing Homes until she retired. After retiring she became a cafeteria manager with a new school in Baldwin County for six years, and then retired again. In 2005 she moved to Montgomery and then in 2015 she moved to Grand Bay, AL. She became a Christian at a young age and always served and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Lou Jones (Randy) of Chuncula, AL; son, John Marvin McBride (Elsa) of Grand Bay, AL; daughter, Lisa Ann Scott (David) of Montgomery, AL; stepson, Johnny Lawrence Hadley (Zonia) of Perdido, AL; stepdaughters, Tonya Harville of Bay Minette, AL and Dana Whatley of Perdido, AL; seven grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her great best friend, Olga Smith.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Huxford Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy McDuffie officiating.

Burial will follow at the Huxford Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John McBride, Ian McBride, Kyle McBride, Scott Richardson, Mark Richardson and Daniel Scott.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC is in charge of all arrangements in Atmore, Alabama.
