Christa R. (Ellefson) Clark, 29, of Rockford, formerly of Janesville, Wis., died unexpectedly Monday, May 10, 2010, because of a double homicide that also took her husband's life. Born Nov. 6, 1980, in Janesville, the daughter of Douglas C. and Robin M. (Wixon) Ellefson. Christa attended Parker High School and later married Michael W. Clark on Aug. 30, 2009. Christa loved being a mother to her three children. She was a very outgoing and strong willed woman, she enjoyed the outdoors and cherished the sounds of the ocean waves. She looked forward to when she could spend time on the white sandy beach. Christa was trying to make a better life for her family by working towards her associate degree in business at the time of her death. Survived by children, Antonio, Gia and Ani Rose; father, Doug Ellefson; mother, Robin (Greg Beighley) Wixom; sisters, Jennifer (fiancé, Michael Schmertman) Gackstatter, Stephanie (Ben Anderson) Ellefson and Joleen (Jonathan) Kooyman, all of Janesville; maternal grandparents, Mark and Judy Wixom of Janesville; and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by paternal grandmother, Rose Ellefson. Memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 17, in Whitcomb-Lynch-Albrecht Funeral Home, Janesville, with visitation from 5:30 p.m. to time of service; the Rev. Jerry Amstutz will officiate.
