Sherry Lou Beck, age 70, of Windsor passed away peacefully at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Eident officiating. Burial will follow at Windsor Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sherry was born October 3, 1947 in Decatur, Illinois to Carl K. and Clara Belle Miller Cummings. She graduated from Windsor High School Class of 65. She worked at Brown Shoe Company for many years, then at Crest Cup Company, and then she was part owner of the Bea Hive in Windsor until it closed in 1994, she was store manager for Casey’s General Store for a few years, then she became a laundry aide for Sullivan Health Care and later a Certified Nursing Assistant. She married Harold D. Beck on August 15, 1969; he survives. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Sherry leaves behind along with her husband, Harold “Butch” of Windsor, son; Carl Beck of LaBelle, Florida, daughters; Becky Beck Glidewell and Debra Beck Vaughn both of Windsor, grandchildren; Kristina, Katie, Xavier, and Jacob, and three great grandchildren, brother; Ronnie Cummings and his wife Theresa of Sullivan and sister; Marsha Spence and husband Don of Mattoon. Sherry is preceded in death by: both parents, brother; James “Bill” Cummings, sister; Patricia “Patty” Giesler.
