Following high school, Charlotte went to Pembroke College at Brown University, where she sang in an a capella group, and from which she earned her Bachelors degree. She was particularly proud of continuing on to complete her masters in the graduate school at Simmons School of Social Work, and worked as a licensed social worker in several settings including the Framingham Youth Guidance Center, the Brandon School, and eventually as school social worker with the Natick Public Schools. She was a good skier (though a nervous lift user) and tennis player, and an avid traveler, visiting family in Switzerland, friends in the Caribbean and New Hampshire.
She married Marshall Lebowitz, and together they moved to Natick in 1949. They both became active in town, in activities as varied as Temple Israel, schools issues, and swimming areas; and she supported actively a number of arts programs.
She is survived by her younger brothers Rolf Meyersohn (Marylea) of NYC and Peter Meyersohn (Annette Needle) of Chestnut Hill, nieces Elizabeth Meyersohn and Molly Jean-Mary, nephews Jonathan Meyersohn (Julie Hartenstein) of NYC and Matthew (Nina) Meyersohn of Cambridge and their children.
Grandmother to Dov and Max Lebowitz-Nowak of Brooklyn and NYC, respectively and to Adam, Noah and Hannah Lebowitz-Lockard, of LA, Athens GA and Philadelphia, respectively.
She is also survived by her daughter Wendy (Joel Nowak) of Brooklyn.
Predeceased by her husband Marshall, and by her children Marian Katy (David Lockard) and Mark. She cherished cousins and friends, all over the country and in Europe, and neighbors nearby.
Interment at the Framingham-Natick Jewish Cemetery.
