Ruddy was an active suffragist who served as the president of the Los Angeles Woman’s Equal Suffrage League and president of the Political Equality Club. Ruddy was also the secretary of the Humane Animal League of Los Angeles, president of the Women’s La Follette League, a member of the Ebell Club, the Friday Morning Club, the Woman’s Press Club, the Severance Club and the Woman’s City Club. Ruddy passed away on June 26, 1917 in Los Angeles, California.
