"Joe Knox Meador, 83, of Adolphus, KY passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence. The Adolphus, KY native was a retired employee of AVCO, a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of Concord United Methodist Church where he was chairman of trustees, chairman of the board and Adult Sunday school teacher. He was a son of the late Elzie Joseph Meador and Mary Alice Dalton Meador and husband of the late Doris Jean Lyles Meador.

He is survived by 1 brother: Gordon Meador and wife, Linda, Columbia, TN;
2 nieces: Becky Fox and husband, Gary and Cindy McReynolds and husband, Gary, all of Scottsville, KY;
3 nephews: Randy Cook and wife, Melissa, Scottsville, KY; Terry Cook and wife, Caryn and Tim Wimpee and wife, Dottie, all of Bowling Green, KY;
10 great nieces and great nephews;
His caregivers: Norma Draper, Darlene Carter, Kelly Carter and Ruby Holland;
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Ruby Nell Wimpee and Virginia Sue Cook.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Pruitt officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday until funeral time. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideons. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home."
