Mr. Jennings was a native of McCormick County, SC, having made North Augusta his home for the past 65 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, a US Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean War and retired from McKnight Construction Company. Mr. Jennings was the husband of the late Mrs. Virginia Sanders Jennings.

Survivors include two sons, a daughter, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
