He attended Hagerstown Business College. He was employed with Mack Trucks, Inc. for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. he was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was a member of U.A.W. 171 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 212.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Arnone Brewer; three daughters, Carolyn A. Wollard, Barbara Diana Steiner and Debbie S. Ward; two step-sons, Terry M. Acre and Jim D. Acre; two siders, Evelyn Grimm and Lois G. Kerns, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Charles E. Brewer, Jr., Hagerstown, and Frank L. Brewer, Newport News, Va.; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
