ENDVILLE - Perry Ward Baker, 59, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Madison County Nursing Home in Canton, MS after battling an illness. Perry lived most of his life in Sherman, MS and regularly attended and loved the people of Sherman Baptist Church. A special person who never met a stranger, Perry lit up the room with his outgoing personality. Perry loved the Ole Miss Rebels, the St. Louis Cardinals, gospel music and his dog Sugar. One of his favorite questions was "when are y'all going to come see us?" Perry was predeceased by his father, Alvis Ward Baker. He leaves his mother, Wilma Sample Baker of Sherman, MS, and a brother, Rex W. Baker (Carol) of Brandon, MS and his beloved nieces, Hillary Baker Mattei of Baton Rouge, LA and Rachel Baker of Brandon, MS. Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2018, 5 until 7 p.m. at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS. Browning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
