A funeral mass for Virginia (Bohn) Carpenter, 87, will be held at 10 am Tues., Jan. 16, 2018 at Mary Queen Of Peace Catholic Church in Danville with visitation 4-8 pm Mon., Jan. 15, 2018 at the Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will take place in the K. of P. Cemetery at Lizton.

Virginia was born in Indianapolis to Ernest and Virginia (Gideon) Bohn. She married Robert G. "Sonny" Carpenter Aug. 20, 1948. He preceded her on Sept. 2, 2002. Virginia was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville, a homemaker, and had been employed in housekeeping and laundry departments at Danville Regional Rehab. (formerly Medco) for several years.

Survivors include her children, Robert G. Carpenter II - Sammamish, WA., Michael L. Carpenter - Indianapolis, Karen S. Kyriakopoulos - Plainfield, Lisa A. McLerran - Mooresville, Tina M. Taylor - Indianapolis, Regina Wethington - Coatesville, Teresa F. Hughes - Lizton, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a sister, Linda Pickett - Columbia, Kentucky. Virginia was preceded in death by a grandson, David Bishop.
