Mr. Joseph (Jody) Charles Henson, age 71, of Hiawassee Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
Mr. Henson was born in Fulton County to the late Willard A. and Mary Jane Corn Henson on January 5, 1947. He was member of Unicoi Lodge #259 F&AM and also served in the United States Army. After his service in the army he started a small trucking company where he enjoyed driving his dump truck and contracting for various other construction companies. Mr. Henson will be deeply missed by his family: daughter, Traci Thurman (Will), Georgia; son, Chris Henson (Robyn); son, Tyler Henson and sisters, Elizabeth Henson and Becky Underwood(Bruce); niece, Lisa Wilkie; nephew, Luke Underwood; He will also be missed by Six (6) Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 4:00 pm from Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee. The family will receive friends and aquaintences from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
