Born in Amityville, N.Y., he was the son of the late Gordon F. Udall, Sr. and Clara E. (Ashworth) Udall.
Mr. Udall worked as a manager in the manufacturing industry for many years until his retirement. He proudly served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy, flying the AD Skyraider from the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant.
Over the years he volunteered to serve at the Quonset Air Museum, South County Museum, New England Wireless and Steam Museum, and on the board of the Saunderstown Yacht Club.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Wendy S. Gamble and her husband Steven of Raeford, N.C.; Jennifer Berke and her husband Craig of Carolina, R.I., and Gordon J. Udall and his wife Deborah of North Attleborough, Mass. He was the cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-grandchild. He was the brother of Alberta Kelsey of Goshen, N.Y., and Lila Ferris of Ogdensburg, N.Y.
In accordance with Gordon's wishes, his funeral and burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the New England Wireless and Steam Museum in East Greenwich, R.I., will be appreciated.
