Mrs. Bridget Jewett, resident of Waterford for the last 18 years, died at the Leonard Hospital following a long illness. The former Bridget Shine, she was the wife of Andrew Jewett and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Waterford. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Shear of Waterford; one brother, Joseph Shine of Cohoes, two grandchildren, Mary Lou and Fred Shear, Jr., also of Waterford. The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. Shear, 20 Vanderwerken Ave., Northside, and then from St. Mary's Church where a requiem mass was celebrated. Interment was in St. Agnes' Cemetery, Cohoes.

Andrew Jewett and Miss Bridget Shine were married Friday night, June 27, 1902, by Rev. Patrick J. Brady, at St. Patrick's Church, Cohoes. Miss Agnes English was bridesmaid and John Shine groomsman.
