Kay Lynn Davis, 79, of Shawnee Mission passed away peacefully at Bishop Spencer Place on Saturday, January 6th. She had previously had been a surgery patient at St. Lukes Hospital.
She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1956 and worked as a legal secretary for Hoskins, King Law Firm from the fall of that year until the spring of 1971. She then became the Administrative Assistant to Richard Walsh, the mayor of Kansas City, KS. On August 4th, 1973 she married Ramsey Davis and served as an officer of HC Davis Sons Mfg. Co. until retiring in 2003.
She leaves her husband, Ramsey Davis, of the home and one daughter, Debra L. McPherson who resides with her husband, Thomas M. McPherson, in Kansas City, MO. She leaves three grandchildren of the marriage of Tom and Debra: Zachary, Joshua and Kyle McPherson.
She was a member of Country Club Christian Church where her memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Joe Walker in the sanctuary on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11 AM. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM in the church parlor. The interment will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated for the benefit of the congregational care group at the church or the salvation army.
