Beth Ann (Nagel) Daniels, 67, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 1, 1950, in Libertyville, IL, the daughter of Wilbur and Marie (Behm) Nagel. She graduated from Grant High School in Fox Lake, IL, in 1968, and went on to attain her BA degree in Social Work from Moorhead State University in 1972. On August 19, 1972, Beth was united in marriage to Thomas Daniels in Long Lake, IL. The two made a family and a home on a farm near Arco. Beth worked as a licensed social worker and was an integral part of Divine Providence Health Center in Ivanhoe for 31 years. Following her successful career as a social worker, she dedicated her expertise at Pluto Legal in Tyler for several years. When her family was young, she devoted much of her time to her church and community. She enjoyed reading a good book and was active in the Ivanhoe book club, the “Litwits.” For many years, Beth loved couples bowling with Tom on Sunday nights in Ivanhoe, mostly for socializing. She was involved in Knights of Knowledge Study Club in Ivanhoe and served on the board at Western Mental Health in Marshall. Spending time with her friends and family was one of Beth’s greatest joys in life; she was always available with an open heart and a listening ear. Beth was a special person who demonstrated Jesus’ love, humbleness, and selfless nature to those around her. She touched many lives during her time on earth and her positive spirit was inspiring to many. She will be dearly missed.

Grateful to have spent their lives with Beth are: husband of 45 years, Tom, of Arco; daughters: Dawn (Scott) Popowski of Ivanhoe, Jill Daniels of Ivanhoe, and Janet (Jeremy) McGee of Rosemount, MN; grandchildren: Leah, Lacey, Elizabeth, Blake, Matthew, Jacob & Mason; siblings: Craig (Claire) Nagel of Pequot Lakes, MN, Dick Nagel of Pequot Lakes, MN, Bill (Jane) Nagel of Pine River, MN, and Carol (Fran) Marin of Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Mexico; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Heather, in 1978; parents: Wilbur & Marie Nagel; grandson: Ted McGee in 2016; and nieces: Kia Holbeck and Sharon Nagel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church in Arco.
