She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Wayne Bennett, her grandson Jacob Saul Cruz, her parents H.B. & Bernice McCoy, her brothers Herbert McCoy, Joe McCoy, Tommy McCoy, Ricky McCoy, her sister Dorothy Burr and brother in laws Charles Burr, Randy Cato, Danny Cato, Dennis Cato and Neil Cato.
Debra was a member of New Life Christian Assembly in Dora, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor James & Debbie Aycox. While her lung disease did not allow her to attend church regularly, she loved the Lord with her whole heart. That same love was extended not only to her children but also to many other children that she considered as her own. To those children, never forget “Big Momma” has always loved you.
