Ray Calvin Dotson, age 79, of Evensville passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his home.

Calvin was born October 10, 1938 in Dayton, the son of the late Orville and Katie (Johnson) Dotson.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Wilma (Price) Dotson, his daughter, Connie Swisher, brother R. J. Dotson and sisters Sue Price, Bo Stinnett, Iva Barnes and Dorothy Shelby.

Ray lived in Evensville most of his life. He was retired from the construction industry and sold produce all over the regional area.

Ray is survived by his son, Robert (fiancée Kimberly Fuller) Dotson of Evensville and his daughter, Sandra (Ronald) Riley of Evensville; brother Harold Dotson of Sand Mountain; sisters, Wilma White, Linda Monday, Barbara Barnes and Bertha Revis, all of Dayton, Patricia Denton and Nancy Smith both of Graysville, and Pat Swafford of Pikeville; grandchildren, David (Crystal) Schrimpsher of Decatur, Jammie (Abie) Riley, Brandi Dotson and Brittney Dotson, all of Dayton; Jacob Riley of Evensville; Derek (Kelly) Garrison of Knoxville, Michael Harrington of Indianapolis, IN and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ray will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Spring City Memorial Gardens.
