Dean married the love of his life, Veneda Jones, after dating for four weeks. they enjoyed going camping on the Brazos river and boating with family and friends. He loved fishing and deer hunting and working on old cars.
Later in his years, they would load up the 5th wheel and go to Bluegrass festivals. He retired from Montgomery Ward after 26 years as a truck driver, just to buy his own truck that he ran for another ten years. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family and his grandkids.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lucy Brush; siblings, W.C. Brush, LaBadie Sellers, Wyone Williams, Nilda Faye Pitcox and Bobby Brush; daughter, Linda Jean Cornstubble; and great-grandson, Cody Allen Mayfield.
Survivors: His wife of 66 years, Veneda; daughters, Diana Mayfield and husband, Paul and Athena Campbell; sister, LaQuita Nelon; four grandkids; 13 great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews.
