Henry "Hank" Charles Seiler, of Hampton, formerly of Marshalltown, died on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City. Funeral Mass at St Mary's Catholic Church in Marshalltown, burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Henry C. Seiler was born on July 25, 1936, in Algona, Iowa, the son of Julius and Catherine Downs Seiler. Hank was raised and educated in the Algona School District. He served his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea.

On November 25, 1961, Hank married Berniece Smith in Algona. He was a retired cattle buyer. Hank was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Marshalltown Wrestling Club, which he founded in 1975. He enjoyed gardening, wood crafts, and hunting as long as it included his family. Hank's greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Berniece; children, Sherri (Shannon) Logan, of Hampton, Henry J. (Deanna Tough) Seiler, of Albion, Vicki (Ron) Anderson, of Conrad, and Cindi (David) Morgan, of Union; grandchildren, Jordan, Casey, Meagan, Kristine, Claire, Colin, Emily, Elizabeth, and Quinn and step grandchildren, Ty and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Izabell, Lilly, Lyla, and Calvin Henry; siblings Mike Seiler, Jerry (Barb) Seiler, and Linda (Rich) Wahlert. Hank was a favorite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Catherine; sisters, Jean Marie and Marilyn; grandsons, Jacob, and baby Anderson; and his in-laws Lawrence and Bridget Smith.

Pallbearers were Colin Logan, Quinn Logan, Chris O'Brien, David O'Brien, Denny O'Brien, Steve Seiler, Andy Seiler, and Mark Seiler.

Honorary pallbearers were Jordan Hobson, Casey Logan, Meagan Logan, Kristine Schossow, Claire Anderson, Emily Schossow, and Elizabeth Anderson.

He was laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. Military Honors were provided by the Combined VFW/American Legion Honor Guards.

Groups in attendance included BCLUW school community and Heart of Iowa Telephone Coop among others.

Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Hank and his family.
