Donna Lee Beers, 87, passed away peacefully Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Donna was born January 8, 1930 in Council Bluffs, IA to George and Vivian (McCoy) Kurtz. She was a proud graduate of North High School in 1948.
Following graduation she moved to Denver were she pursued a modeling career. Donna lived in Chicago, Denver, and San Francisco before returning to Des Moines. She was also a member of Unity Church of Des Moines.
Donna is survived by her two sons, Bobby (Carol) and Randy (Gayla); two grandchildren, Conner and Callie Beers; and sister, Betty Turner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Bobby; and sister, Sandra Burriss.
