Gladys Mary (Collins) Haynes was born October 17, 1922 in Three Brothers, AR. She is the daughter of William David Collins and Margaret Ann (Sisney) Collins. She passed away December 28, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO at the age of 95.
She was united marriage to George Washington Haynes of August 9, 1947 and to this union a child was born: Kenneth Haynes of Mt. Sterling, IL.
She is preceded in by her parents William David Collins and Margaret Ann (Sisney) Collins; five brothers Lloyd Collins, Burl Collins, Junior Collins, Melvin Collins and Marvin Collins; one sister Lucille Collins; nine brothers-in law; eight sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Haynes and wife Lois Haynes of Mt. Sterling, IL; three sisters Marie Alcorn of Mountain View, MO, Bonnie Stephenson and husband Wendall of Quincy, MO and Janice Gregory of Mansfield, MO; one brother Vernon Collins of Mountain View, MO; three grandchildren Kenneth Haynes, II, Courtney Zimmerman, Jason McEvers, and Aaron and Nicole Haynes all of Illinois; eleven great-grandchildren Alexi, Riley, Gus, Cole, Coby, Cody, Kaylee, Zachary, Avery, Jewell and one baby one the way due in February 2018; and many nieces and nephews.
Gladys and George were always together. Gladys and George were married 66 years before George passed away in 2014. You never saw one without the other. Gladys loved spending time with the family. Gladys loved going to different flea markets with George. She collected dolls, stuffed animals, and caps from different states. Gladys always had a smile and a sweet spirit for everyone she came in contact with.
Gladys will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Memorial Services held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Forest Dell Cemetery at Mountain View, MO. Arrangements were under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home, LLC of Mountain View, MO.
