Anita Pearson Harris
January 12, 1927 - January 7, 2018 Mrs. Anita Floyd Pearson Harris, 90, the widow of James William Harris, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Born on January 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Sudie Kelley Pearson. She was a homemaker, a graduate of Waco High School and attended Berea College. Mrs. Harris was a member of the Union City Christian Church and the Union City Ruritan Club. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and bingo.
She is survived by three children: Avonda Noe (Bobby), Sue E. Breeding (Billy) and Gene Harris (Kathy); one sister: LeDell Curry; ten grandchildren: Nancy Carpenter (John), Bill Noe, Tommy Noe (Tara), Mary G. Zollner (Chris), William H. Breeding (Taylor), Matthew Harris, Andrew Harris, Isaiah Strickler, Jason Jones (Annie) and Emily Blackwell; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Jean Fortney (Jep), Sue Long and Evelyn Harris as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at The Union City Christian Church with Bro. Chip Denief officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Wednesday, prior to the funeral service at the church.
Pallbearers are: Bill Noe, Tommy Noe, William Breeding, Matthew Harris, Andrew Harris, Isaiah Strickler, John Carpenter and Chris Zollner.
