Tim Robinson of Parker, FL passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 at Sims Veterans Home from natural causes. He was 88 years old.

He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant serving in the U.S. Air Force for 31 years. CMST Robinson served at various posts throughout his career.

He began his career at Keesler AFB in 1948 then serving with the 601st Air Craft Control Warning Squadron in Germany then with the 920th AC &W Squadron at Resolution Island in the NW Territory of Canada. He also worked with the Joint Military Assistance Program in Madrid Spain programming electronic equipment for fighter squadrons stationed in and around Spain. He also served in the 678th Air Defense Group, Tyndall AFB, The DEW Line (Distance Early Warning) sites on the Arctic Circle and as Chief of Maintenance for the 3625th Technical Training Squadron/Weapons Controller School at Tyndall AFB.

CMST Robinson was an avid sports fan especially of his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He was a Little League coach for many years in the Parker /Tyndall area and was also an avid bowler serving as President of the Panama City Men’s Bowling Association for many years as well. He and his family opened Hickory Lanes Bowling Center in 1988 as it was a lifelong dream of his to own a Bowling Center. He was a long standing member of local VFW Post 8205 and also of American Veterans Post 2298.

He was married to Johnnie Robinson for 61 years. He is survived by his three children, Mrs. Barbara Kuhn, husband Byron Kuhn Sr., Tim Robinson, Rick Robinson, wife Lynne Robinson, five grandchildren, Byron Kuhn Jr., Robert Kuhn, Darrell Kuhn, wife Karen Kuhn, Katherine and Madeline Robinson and two great grandchildren Kourtney and Katelynn Kuhn. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Harvey, Josephine Warner and Carmela Pecor and his brothers Pete Natale and Jack Natale. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson lost one child in 1966, Kathryn Ann Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church for many years. Visitation will be held at St. Dominic beginning at 9:00am with Mass following at 10:00am, Thursday, January 11, 2018. Interment will follow at Evergreen memorial Gardens.
