HAMPTON - Barry Lewis Hale, 81, of Hampton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Barry was born April 10, 1936 in Greenfield, MA and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1954. After high school he served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. Barry was a self-employed contractor for over 50 years and never retired. He truly loved his work and had the ability to make a stranger a friend in the matter of minutes.

Barry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Hale, his daughters Karen Squyars (her husband Kevin Squyars) and Susan Hale; his grandsons Brian Hailey, Jacob and Cody Mosbrucker, Kyle Squyars and one great grandson, Dylan.

Visitation with family will be on Wednesday January 10, from 6-8 at the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 Armistead Ave. Hampton. Graveside services will be at 1 pm on Thursday January 11 at the Parklawn Memorial Park. Reverend Jeff Cannon will be officiating.
