Mr. Richard Lott Clement, 81, entered into rest on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Mr. Clement enjoyed watching sports including, baseball, football and College Basketball. He and his wife, Betty Clement, are members of Trinity On The Hill. He was also a member of the Damren Sunday School Class at Trinity On The Hill. Mr. Clement served in the United States Army as a Master Sergeant and retired in 1975 after 22 years of dedicated service. He served 1 tour in Korea and 2 in Vietnam.
Mr. Clement is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Winetta Clement; brother, George Clement; and sister, Wilma Leek. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Clement; children, Michael Clement (Ruth) of Evans, GA, Mark Clement (Linda) of N. Charleston, SC and Cheryl Long (Eric) of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Jonathon Clement, Jill McGee (Rob) of Marietta, GA and Kristen Long of Beaufort, SC; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Clement, Connor Gallagher and their parents, Heather and Marcus Gallagher of Helena, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Trinity on The Hill with Dr. Mike Cash and Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Debt Fund at Trinity on The Hill, 1330 Monte Sano Ave. Augusta, GA 30904.
