Earl "Ben" Lamb, 81, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from Alzheimer"s after having lived a long full life. A Memorial will be held at a later date. Ben was born on January 1, 1936 in Helena, MT to parents William Lamb and Gladys Perry.
He attended Carroll College, MSU Bozeman, Univ. Of Nevada, Reno, NV, and MSU Northern. Ben taught high school in Winnett, MT from 1959-62, Hawthorne Nevada 1962-69, was the Purchasing Agent for the Clerk of School District #1, and served as Assistant Superintendent for Business from 1969-97.
Having a true passion for teaching and education, he was active in many educational organizations and foundations through out his career. He taught school business classes for the College of Great Falls, swimming for the Red Cross, Campfire, and volunteered with the Girl Scouts. After his retirement in 1997, Ben continued working in the educational field and added AARP as a new interest.
On December 27, 1958, Ben married who would be the sole love of his life, Roberta Rouse. Together their lives were blessed with three daughters. A devoted husband and loving father, it was no surprise that he was also the best babysitter for his grandkids in town and that he proudly followed his California grandson"s Boy Scout career to achieving the high rank of Eagle Scout.

Ben is survived by his wife of 59 years, Roberta Lamb; daughters, Kathy Lamb of Washington, NJ, Vicky (Mac) Frey of Palmdale, CA, Elizabeth Spragg of Great Falls, MT; grandchildren, Holly Spragg of Great Falls, Trevor Frey of Bozeman, Andrew Spragg of Great Falls; and brother, Delmar Lamb of Missoula.
