BRUNSWICK - Allen G. Winslow was born on March 13, 1923,in Portland, the son of Fenwick M. and Cleone Crowell Winslow.

He was a graduate of Deering High School and a World War II Veteran, serving in the 28th and 2nd Division in Europe.

He retired as a sales manager of the commercial supply division of Loring, Short and Harmon after 44 years of employment.

Allen was a member of First Parish Church in Yarmouth and a former member and deacon of Woodfords Congregational Church.

He was a lifelong member of the Deering Lodge 183 AF & AM, a member of the Scottish Rite, Kora Shrine Temple of Lewiston, former trustee of Kora Temple, charter member of the Kora Royal Guards, potentates aide, past president of the Portland Shrine Club, member of the Royal Order of Jesters #107, past senior Councilor of the Portland Council #103 United Commercial Travelers, member and past president of the Woodfords Club and he was a former member of The Group of Mainstream Home.

He is survived by a son, Robert and his wife Elizabeth Winslow of Belfast, daughter Anne Winslow Tarbox and her husband Brian of North Yarmouth; grandchildren Aaron and his wife Bridget Winslow of Searsmont, Kevin Winslow and Mariah Ackley of Morrill, Nat Tarbox and his wife Cassie of Cambridge, Mass., and Jon Tarbox and his wife Deanna of Windham; six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Mia, Brady, Kinsley, Cohen Winslow and Eliana Tarbox.

Allen was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years, Phyllis Josslyn Winslow in 1988, his 2nd wife Elinor Crowell Winslow, his sister Cleone Winslow Horn and brother Fenwick Merrill Winslow II.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday January 11, beginning at 11am at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth 207-846-4011. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Falmouth in the spring.
