Martin Munoz
January 30, 1924 - January 3, 2018

Martin P. Munoz, age 93, passed away surrounded by family on January 3, 2018.

He was born 01/30/1924 in Morton, Illinois to Juan and Guadalupe Munoz. Married Bertha Chavira July 20, 1942.

He entered the Military 02/03/1943 and was discharged 11/21/1945. After the Military, he worked at several jobs until he started work with the United States Post Office. He retired after 33 years in 1980 with the Post Office.

He loved fishing, baseball, especially the DODGERS, football, camping, playing music, he loved teaching his girls softball and spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife of 70 years Bertha and his son Rudy and Adriana great grandaughter.

Survived by his only living sibling Albert (Jessie) Munoz, Sons: Martin (Shirley), Don (Susie), Jess (Anita), Daughters Doreen Menerey (Chuck), and Debbie Gibbs (Josh), 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.

Special thanks to St. John's Regional Medical Center-CCU unit, Comfort Care Team, Respiratory Therapists and especially Yvette Cernas for being there for dad.

Mass will be Wednesday July 10. 2018 at 10:00 Santa Clara Church 323 S E St. Oxnard, CA and internment at Santa Clara Cemetery 2370 North H St, Oxnard, CA.
