Betty was born on August 2, 1933 in Lindale, Texas to Ben O. Allen and Annie Elizabeth Whitaker Allen. She was one of nine children. Betty was a loving mother, who lived her life for her children and those she loved. She was dedicated and devoted to her family. She loved family times together, most of all she loved attending church. She loved camping, fishing, gardening and dancing. She learned to dance as a very young girl and she continued to dance all of her life. She enjoyed outdoors, gardening, her flowers and relaxing on her porch, but most of all “she loved”.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.B. Brown and her son, Delton Brinsfield Sr.
Betty is survived by her children, Ann Toler (and husband, Jeff), Bill Vahl (and wife, Annette), Ronnie Brinsfield (and wife, Peggy), Bo Brown (and wife,Tammy) and Catherine Duncan (and husband, David); her grandchildren, Jeff Toler (and wife, Christina), Ryan Toler (and wife, Martha), Blake Vahl ( and fiancé, LeAnn Tobola), Wayne Brinsfield (and wife, Wendi), Michael, Crystal and Brandi Brinsfield; her great-grandchildren, Johnna, Ana and Nathan Toler, Delton Brinsfield III and Devin Brinsfield and her great-great- grandson, Delton Luke Brinsfield. Also survived by numerous other loving family and treasured friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Friday evening, January 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday morning January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel.
