Louise Varner Price, age 83, of Falmouth, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on February 27, 1934, in Pendleton County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Alva and Alice King Varner. On September 28, 1951, she married Joe Price, and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2009. She was a faithful member of Falmouth Baptist Church and a former inspector with Dr. Scholl’s Shoe Company, in Falmouth, and loved to work in her yard. Louise will always be remembered for her dedication and devotion to Joe. She cared for him, and he depended completely on her for 20 years, as she met his needs and faithfully took him to church and appointments.
She is survived by: two children, Dian (Jack) Caldwell, of Falmouth, and Eddie (Becky) Price, of Falmouth; three grandchildren, Alesha (Kevin) Graves, Marsha (Brent) Yelton and Scot (Blaire) Price; three great-grandchildren, Kelly Ann Graves, Ryan Allen Yelton and Raelynn Louise Yelton; and two brothers, L.T. Varner, of Falmouth, and Jimmy Varner, of Owenton, Kentucky. In addition to her husband, Joe, she was preceded in death by: their infant daughter, Patricia Ann Price; and three sisters, Juanita Richie, Temple Bishop and Rosemary Bishop.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Falmouth, with Bro. Cohen Copley and Bro. George Naylor officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
