SHIRLEY FAYE THOMAS HOLT age 86, of 5485 Halifax Road, Halifax, VA died Friday morning, January 5, 2018 at Halifax Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Holt was born October 25, 1931 in Person County, NC daughter of the late James Burnice & Sophie Clayton Thomas and was wife of 32 years to the late Frank Allen Holt. She was retired from baby sitting and was a member of Roxboro Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Tammy H. Pulliam & husband, Billy, Pam H. Solomon all of Roxboro, NC, Wanda Ann Hyatt & husband, Tim of Leasburg, NC, Mitzi H. Duncan & husband, Aaron of Zebulon, NC, Patricia H. Rigsbee & husband, Raymond of Rougemont, NC, son, Timothy Allen Holt of Timberlake, NC, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, sister, Gloria T. Lee of Roxboro, NC, two brothers, Larry Thomas & wife, Dorothy of Roxboro, NC, Burnice Thomas & wife, Donna of Cary, NC and sister-in-law, Barbara Thomas of Roxboro, NC.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Holt is preceded in death by two brothers, Buck Thomas and James Burnice Thomas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Tammy & Billy Pulliam, 4924 Boston Road, Roxboro, NC.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Coates, Chris Dunevant, Joey Miller, Daniel Mise, Jason Mise, James Pulliam, Luke Pulliam and Dave Thomas. Hunter Phelps will serve as honorary pallbearer.
