Don R. Ferguson 77, Lee's Summit, MO, passed away May 4, 2017, at home from cancer. Don was born on Nov. 29, 1939. in Nevada, MO. He earned his bachelor's and master's degree in history from Central Missouri State University. Don taught world history at Nevada High School. He taught economics and world history at William Chrisman High School in Independence. Don was a collector of U.S. postage stamps and memorabilia from the St. Louis World's fair. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Maud Ferguson. Don is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Craig (Cathy) and David (Lisa); daughters, Jennifer (Don) Dodson, Amy (Troy) Stottlemyre; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Langsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery.
