Julia B. (Szaro) Murphy, 90, passed away on December 21, 2017 in Tampa, Florida. She was born on November 27, 1927 in Wauchula, Florida where she spent her early years growing up on her family's farm. She graduated from Mound Park School of Nursing in the 1940s and had a career as an RN for many years. She worked and traveled around the country as an Air Force wife for many years until finally settling in Tampa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence R. Murphy. She is survived by her family and friends who love her dearly: her children, Charles (Sandy) Murphy, Paula (Ruben) Hernandez, Robert (Jennifer) Murphy; her grandchildren, Charlie, Katie, Erica, Ryan, Austin, and Makenzie; and her great-grandchildren, Charlie (CJ), Emily, Katrina, Jordan, and Houston. A memorial service will be held for Julia at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, January 12, 11 am.
