Mrs. Sallie Pearl Jackson Clark, 94, formerly of Joanna, South Carolina, widow of the late Albert Clark, Jr., was born November 15, 1921, to the late Nathan Jackson and the late Aurelia Young Jackson. She entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at her home in Simpsonville, SC.

She was a member of Mr. Olive A.M.E. Church, Kinards, SC for over sixty years. She was a Stewardess, Sunday School Teacher, Class Leader, member of the Gospel Choir, Senior Usher Board, Hospitality Committee, Women's Missionary, Sunday School and Senior Choir. She was an Honorary Secretary of the Women's Home Aide Society Lodge #65.

Mrs. Clark was formerly employed with Hallmark Shirt Factory, Greenwood Mills and Senior Option of Laurens County. After retirement Mrs. Clark continued to work into her late eighties with the Foster Grandparent Program mostly with first graders and in her latter years of service with the mentally and physically disabled at Whitten Center. Her motto was that 'As long as I could be of service, there was no reason not to be doing something to help somebody."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Issac Jacks, Monroe Jacks, Beatrice Jacks, James Jacks, Corrie Jacks Harris, Susie Jacks Williams, Mamie Jacks Williams, Essex Jacks, George Jackson, Clyde Jacks, Heyward Jacks, Mary Irene Jackson Copeland, Joseph Jackson, Frances Jackson Turner, Thomas Jackson and Reverend Billie D. Jackson.

Cherishing precious and loving memories are one son, Mr. Herbert Lee Clark of Simpsonville, SC; and one daughter, Ms. Iris Loretta Clark of Simpsonville, SC; devoted nephew, Eugene Jackson of Clinton, SC; devoted nieces, Shirley Jacks and Banner Jackson, both of Clinton, SC; devoted friends, Pauline Fowler of Newberry, SC and Mattie Kennedy of Kinards, SC; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
