Stephen Baker Turner ("Steve"), born April 24, 1961, died suddenly of a massive stroke on December 27, 2017 at his home in North Carolina. He is survived by his loving husband, Greg Cranmer, father Jere Dickson Turner, sister Anne Turner Beletic, and niece Katrina ("Katie") Virginia Beletic, stepmother Emily Turner and stepsiblings Edie, Joy, and Floyd. His Beletic family including Anne, Mary, Lynn, and John mourn his death as well. He is predeceased by his mother Virginia (Florence) Baker Turner, and grandmothers Elba Marl Baker and Lucy Turner. His friendships were global and too massive to list but include Pete Orenchuk, Steve Jordan, Logan Boone, James Ragsdale ("Rags"), Diane Paolucci, Joy Eber, and Jo Ann Bass. Steve was born in Dallas but previously resided in New York and then settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as Burnsville , North Carolina. In Florida, he owned a successful furniture and accessories business and was amazingly gifted in interior design. He was also a marvelous self-taught cook and his homes were always filled with friends and family enjoying his fabulous food and drink. Although we who are left are in pain with his passing, we are grateful that it was swift and he did not suffer. We will live with joy in memory of the joy that he brought us .
