Mitchell Reynolds, age 94, of Springfield, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home.

A native of Washington County, he was born on September 6, 1923 to the late Lee Roy and Lillie Mae Robertson Reynolds.

He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Gideons International. He was a lifelong farmer and a longtime employee of the former New Home Tobacco Warehouse.

Preceding him in death was his first wife, Alma Lawson Reynolds on May 15, 1989; a sister, Fannie Lou Hardin and three brothers, Clifton Reynolds, Irvin Reynolds and J.W. Reynolds.

Survivors include: his wife, Louise Curtis Reynolds; a daughter, Judy Rudd of Lexington; a son, Lynn Reynolds of Bardstown; a step-son, Terry Curtis (Devola) of Louisville; two step-daughters, Carol Easely (Michael) of Tallahassee, Florida and Jane Land (Bill) of Louisville; two grandsons, Travis Rudd (Kionie) and Brian Rudd (Mona); three great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Julia Rudd, Evan Thomas Rudd and Kendall Leigh Rudd; three step-grandchildren, Ritchie Curtis (Anita), Valerie Wipple (John) and Stacey Hubbard (Kyle); and three step great-grandchildren, Bradley Wipple, Chris Wipple and Mason Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Everett Greer and Rev. Nelson Reynolds, officiating.

Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
