Barbara Gail Bunn, 79, of Portsmouth, entered into eternal life on Dec 13, 2017; following a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born February 17, 1938 in Parish Memorial Hospital, Portsmouth and was the daughter of the late James Alonzo Bunn and Edith Odessa Dozier Bunn. Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a 1960 graduate of the College of William and Mary. She then moved to Sacramento, where she worked for the California State Agricultural Department until her retirement. Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, reading, gardening, art and travel.
Barbara will be held in loving memory by her sister, Edith Carolyn Hill and husband Gregory V. Hill, Sr.: nephew, Gregory V. Hill, Jr. and wife, Sheryl; niece Jacquelyn D. Hill; grandniece, Ashley N. Hare and husband Greg: grandnephew, Gregory V. Hill III; great grand nieces, Gia and Gemma; cousins, Thomas Vaughn and wife, Rita, Charles Vaughn and wife Kay, Eugene Bunn and wife Cathy; and extended family and friends.
