SOUTH BEND - Drew Barkley Baker, 45, went to be with the Lord in the morning of December 30, 2017 due to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident on December 9, 2017 in Union, MI.

Drew was born in South Bend, IN on November 26, 1972 to Joseph Baker and Cathy (Wannerton) Taylor. He played football and graduated from Mishawaka High School, attended Elkhart Career Center, and enjoyed his passion for drag racing at several of the local raceways. He was employed at Green Stream in White Pigeon, MI.

In addition to his parents, Joseph Baker of South Bend and Cathy Taylor of Union, MI, Drew is survived by his stepfather, Charles (Chuck) Taylor of Union, MI; his brother, Blair Baker and wife Lisa of Chapel Hill, TN; and his sister, Maria Bobik of Mishawaka, IN. Additionally, he is survived by extended family members including nieces, Lyssa and Macie Baker; nephews, Carson Baker and Nolan Nowinski; and step-sisters, Sue Zumbrun, Cindy Kuechler, Kim Thomas, and Joy Rockwell, as well as several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services for Drew will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Pastor Cindy Uhrich will officiate. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services on Saturday in the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Drew may be donated to YMCA Camp Eberhart, 10481 Camp Eberhart Road, Three Rivers, MI 49093.
