MARION, Va. Louise Gay Meade Parks, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at her home in Marion. Louise was born in Russell County, Va. to the late Will D. Meade and Julia Cooper Meade. She was also preceded in death by her son, Eddie Parks; her husband, Roy Parks; her sisters Betty Conley, Dorothy Johnson, Mansie Hester & Ethel Hester; abd her brothers, Sam Meade, Carl Meade, Jr. Meade, Earl Meade & Felix Meade. She had worked at Williams Drug in Marion and was retired from Harwood Manufacturing. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Dean and husband, Denny of Marion, Va.; sisters, Bernice Duncan of Alexandria, Va., Marjorie Pinter of Hillsville, Va., and Ilenev Sizemore of Bastian, Va.; sister in law, Sue McCallister; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren; special friends, Doris and Dora, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Steve Hutton officiating. Private interment will be held in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601-7633. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home is serving the Parks family.
